Unfinished is one of the November movies I'm most looking forward to. However, while it may seem like a good movie and judging by the trailer, other people seem to have the opposite opinion. The show I attended, which was on opening day, was almost empty. Of the 142 seats available, only 13 were occupied; there are 129 vacant seats. Not only that, but there's not a lot of play available either. Most likely, this has to do with his competition with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, released on the same day, as well as Bohemian Rhapsody and Intimate Strangers killing it at the box office. Despite its disappointing ticket sales performance, however, the film itself was reasonably good, and has received good, albeit limited, audience reviews.
Influenced by real events, Unfinished takes viewers back to a time when Germany was divided, and follows a North Korean spy who is trying to get his family back behind to plans to try and betray the system will go down the hill. Noh Gyu-Yeob is directing the film, and this is his time to direct a feature film (he has past experience of being on the production team of The Show Must Go On and the hugely popular Kdrama Iris. includes Lee Bum- Catering Soo, Yeon Woo -Jin, Park Hyuk-Kwon, Park Joo-Mi, and Lee Hyun-Jung, among others.
Young-Min is an ordinary student, studying abroad in Berlin. In a bid to give his family the best possible chance, he decides to move to North Korea, accepting the offer made by the North. He soon realized that this decision was a mistake. On his mission to the North, he and his family try to escape the rout at Copenhagen airport. But things went downhill fast. He and his eldest daughter were separated from his wife and other daughters, because they were taken by North Korean agents. He seeks help from the Intelligence Department of the countries concerned, but they all have different motivations and have no intention of saving the Young-Min family. 1986 Berlin, where everyone observes. No one can be trusted.
In addition, this film has some unique and interesting camera works. The transitions are so well packaged that they not only flow seamlessly from scene to scene, but also play a real part in the storytelling. For example, sometimes a film goes back and forth between different times, and camera work is used to express different dates in subtle ways.
