There are some surprises (really surprising) as well as subtle character twists that let me know that this is not a light production. Also, I'm not a wuxia fan, but the choreography is really good. The fight looks so "real" ... the actors may know and / or have expertise in fencing / swords / duels. And "flying" is pretty good. Again, this comment comes from someone who does not like modern era, wuxia and fantasy productions, but Call of Heroes is quite charming, Also, it is clear that the actors are experienced and skilled in their craft. Very believable… from their script to the subtlety of their facial expressions. This movie, although released in 2016, makes me wish there was a sequel!
